First really big fall of migrants - Main interest was at South Milton Ley where Bob B and myself ( only acting as scribe for part of the day ) came up with totals of - 250+ Chiffchaff, ( 66 ringed) 70 + Willow Warbler

( 30 ringed ) , 1 Blackcap.  Most interesting was the  ringing of an Acredula Willow Warbler ( often referred to as a Northern Willow Wblr ) - only the second site record , as was a British control

Watching South Huish marsh for 3.5 hrs this morning  produced a passage of - 60 Chiffchaff ( many feeding in the field )  110 Mipits, 26 Linnet, 2 Goldfinch. also 14 Swallow, 1 Sand Martin, 5 Wheatear, 100+ Wood Pigeon ( one flock ) On the Marsh - 5 Black T Godwit, 3 Ringed Plover, 1 LRP, 3 Snipe, 20 Teal, 2 Shoveler, 1m wigeon.

Offshore very quiet- 5 Sandwich Tern and a Red T Diver

This afternoon around T'stone marsh -  30+ Chiffchaff, 1 Willow Warbler, 1 Tree Pipit, 1f Blackcap, 7 Swallow, 5 Sand Martin
