Exminster Marshes to Exeter

Walked the canal path into Exeter. On the marshes 2, probably 3, spoonbills - in the middle of the  marsh with 3 little egrets. Few other birds apart from a handful of wigeon, 27 shelduck and a few teal. Nearer the motorway 8 lapwing and 8 pied wagtails in one flock. At the Double Locks a solitary sand martin, 2 shoveller, 3 teal and one black-tailed godwit. I saw 4 chiffchaffs on the entire walk. At Trews Weir one male blackcap.
