Owley Moor Gate, South Brent

Had a walk up around the edge of Dartmoor from Owley Moor Gate this morning bitterley cold easterly wind blowing and not anything of interest to note until I reached the mires and a boundary brook, good number sof Chiffchaff feeding around the wet ground and a smaller number of Warblers unable to identify exactly but I suspect Willow Warblers.

Large flock of an estimated 100 plus Meadow Pippits, then counted a positve 33 flying over from the moor onto pasture land, after that roaming flocks peridically also mixed in was a smaller Chat like species but unable to get close enough to identify.

Pair of Raven and two Greater Black Backed Gulls

Nuthatch and Cock Pheasant heard calling, finished off by a suprisingly close flypast by a nicely marked Buzzard
