Mamhead

Walked the forest tracks this morning. As is to be expected in late June, song levels much reduced, with Garden Warbler missing, but Willow Warbler, Mistle Thrush, Tree Pipit, Redpoll, Siskin, Linnet, Yellowhammer, Stonechat, Marsh Tit, Treecreeper, Nuthatch and the commoner Tits and Warblers all contributing their shares, with a highly mobile flock of c15 Crossbills chipping as well (definitely a good year for them).
