Velator

Lots of subadult Herring Gulls on Wrafton pond in the cold wind and 3 drake Gadwall. Out on the flooded field, a Black -tailed Godwit and two cracking summer plumage Water Pipits. In the reserve only 5 Chiffchaffs today with 2 Goldcrests and a Snipe. Down at the south end of Velator harbour a female-type Black Redstart, and on the way back at least one more sum plum Water Pipit on the wet bit. Warmer out in the sunshine today, but still no hirundines, must look this evening.
