Hooray for something different on Wrafton Pond: 2 Pochard this morning! They were chased across the pond by the protective male Mute Swan. Out on the flooded field, a Spoonbill roosting again, with about 20 Teal and 24 Canada Geese. One or two Gadwall and Shoveler. In the reserve now at least 8 Chiffchaffs, many of which were struggling to find food. A smart female Kingfisher perched by the bridge gave great views.
