Burrator Birding by Bike

Started off this morning's ride with our regular Dipper on the Tory Brook. Then on Shaugh Moor our first Cuckoo of the season, followed closely by a pair that made off towards Wigford Down, then unbelievably a fourth landed in a hawthorn 50 yards away at Cadover Bridge.  Four Cuckoos in under 10 minutes must be something of a record.  Continuing to Burrator Wood our year list was again boosted by a pair of Pied Flycatchers amongst the regular woodland species.  Despite the tip off from Chris E we failed to find the sedge warbler or any house martins as yet.
