Ide - Perridge

Walked the lanes from Ide to Perridge via Windy Cross and back this morning:

- in the hedgerows 4/5 Yellowhammers and 8/10 Whitethroats singing, with plenty of Larks and a few Swallows above;

- in the mature conifer plantations two pairs of Crossbills;

- in the newly re-planted areas two Tree Pipits and several Willow Warblers;

- in and around the deciduous woods Treecreeper, Marsh Tit, 4/5 pairs of Mistle Thrushes (they certainly love something about this area), and today's bonus bird, a Redstart singing from a hedgerow Oak, a first for this year and this location.
