Braunton area

Cycled out to Sandy Lane and on to Crow Point then up the Toll road and finished with a quick look around the reserve. Too cold! So the birds weren't singing much, but did see a cracking close Whitethroat. Lots of Gulls in the channel at Crow. Bumped into (or perhaps met at appropriate distance) Rob along the Toll road, inspecting a good sized flock of sum plum Dunlin and Ringed Plover. Further along the toll road a Grey Heron dealing with an Eel, which disappeared as I groped in my rucksack for the camera....

In the reserve a decisive Sedge Warbler and on the scrape a Common Sandpiper. Sand Martin and Swallow also seen along the way.
