Tory Brook, Plympton - 7 April
On our now regular evening walk up the brook, the 7:15pm Dipper showed up exactly on time. Only a little further upstream a Sparrowhawk was standing on its very recent kill, as yet unplucked. We were worried that it could have been the Dipper's mate, but were relieved to see it was a Blackbird. On the return at 8:50 the Dipper was still there, as were a few Daubenton's and Pipistrelle bats in the daylight.
