Out and about

Lower Tamar Lake. 4 Ring-necked Duck (at last - 5th attempt!) + at least 21 Goosander. Marsh and Willow Tit at all the feeding stations (thanks Rod!) Several Jays seen and Nuthatch on the feeders by the hide.

Skern: 54 Knot, at least 3 Sanderling, 2000 ish Golden Plover, 100+ Wigeon, 4 Brent Geese, good numbers of Dunlin, Grey Plover and Curlew. 1 Greenshank and 1 Roger Doble (!)

Fremington Pill: We only really stopped to check out the Egret roost, so were pleased to find the Spotted Redshank at the top of the pill, and then Andy found a Common Sandpiper too. Waited until dusk and at 4.25 5 Egrets came in to the roost - ALL of them were Cattle Egrets. A few minutes later 2 Little Egrets, followed by 3 more.
