Berry Head sea watch 09.30 - 16.00

Skuas on view for most of the day but difficult to count due to many seemingly hanging around, but settled on: 12 Pomarines, 17 Arctics, 7 Bonxies & 2 Pomarine or Arctic, the latter including a particularly puzzling adult which none of the observers were sure about. Also: a good number of Puffins for the season (I saw 7 and missed at least 9 others). Sooty, Manx & 9 Balearic Shearwaters, 3 Common Scoters, 2 Fulmars 2nd-w Mediterranean Gull & 4 Harbour Porpoises. A Ring Ouzel was calling in the quarry when I arrived.
