An adult gannet sheltering on the water at the SE end of Batten Bay was a surprise this afternoon. After a while it managed to haul itself onto the rocks, but with great difficulty. Clearly not a well bird. Also an adult Mediterranean Gull seen and three Oystercatchers, but otherwise, only Herring and GBB Gulls.
