Walked around Sherpa Marsh yesterday evening. About 30 Swans, including 5 + 2 well-grown Cygnets. 2 Grey Herons, but no sign of any Egrets, Great or Little. 1 Lapwing, a few each of Swallow, Sand and House Martin. Best was a Peregrine chasing the Starling flock into the reed-bed.

Later on ringing Swallows produced a further 56 birds plus a Sand Martin.
