Exminster Marshes

A brief visit between the hail and rain showers. The adult spoonbill flew up from the marsh, from west of the lagoon, and continued towards the Clyst at 14.45. Three small flocks (15, 25 & 3)  of black-tailed godwits flew north over the estuary and reminded me how scarce they have been this winter. There were a few more with the lapwings closer to the railway line. Duck numbers appeared to have fallen but there were lots of shoveller and at least 6 pintail.
