Stover June 1st

After launching the Stover Dragonfly Hotspot yesterday (12 species seen, including Downy Emerald, Hairy Dragonfly and Red-eyed Damselfly), returned in the evening for Nightjars. After 2 or 3 churring males, no less than 4 appeared together, chasing each other, wing clapping and calling over the pylon ride, while a fifth churred nearby. A great end to a great day! Earlier, several Mandarins, including a duck with 2 ducklings.
