Mamhead - Starcross

In the woods and clearings around Mamhead: several Tree Pipits, a pair of Redpolls, my first Garden Warbler of the year, and innumerable Willow Willow Warblers, plus Treecreeper, Marsh Tit, Sparrowhawk etc.; in and over the farmland lower down, Red-legged Partridge, at least ten Common Whitethroats, a handful of Swallows and House Martins, and a distantly-heard Cirl Bunting. Nothing of note visible in the estuary, alas.
