On holiday from the Wirral...went to Broadsands today saw 7 Cirl Buntings  and 8 yellowhammers( great to see these rare bird on the Wirral these days)....male Sparrowhawk causing chaos there...on the shore Little Egret and  offshore distant Diver... probably Great Northern....what seed do you put down do attract the Buntings by the way kind regards Steve

Eds: the seed is Canary Grass and Millet - effectively Budgie seed (courtesy of the RSPB). Don't use pet shop 'wild bird' seed, with all of its maize and wheat, it attracts too many crows, pigeons and rats which put the buntings off coming down to feed.
