Spoonbill - Ashford Sewage Works.

At 14:30, a very dirty and bedraggled looking adult Spoonbill was in the Green Sandpiper ditch alongside the Ashford Sewage Works. It was right up under the trees near the works access road and finally disappeared from view when it must have been up near the A361 dual carriageway. From the way it was feeding in the ditch, I got the impression that it might have a leg injury. It was an unringed bird.
