Ringed a whole lot of Blue, Great and Long-tailed Tits today with a Coal tit thrown in for good measure. Also the first autumn arrival of Chaffinches with about a dozen ringed. A female Goldcrest and a male Siskin were about the best, but bird of the day avoided the nets: 2 calling Mistle Thrushes graced the reserve for a short while. Only one previous record.

Out on the scrape no sign of the single Godwit that as been around lately.

ED: I also retrapped a Long-tailed Tit which I originally ringed in June 2014 as a 3J. More than 4 years for LTT is good going. Last saw it 2 years ago.
