Velator reserve

Looked longingly out at the scrape just in case the Lesser YL had returned. No chance but I was surprised to see a Clouded Yellow butterfly flying determinedly south between the scrape and reserve.

In the reserve, evidence of Badger activity, which might include predating one or more of the Canada Geese. A female Sparrowhawk was around, seen twice and then disturbed plucking what looked like a Feral Pigeon. A Tawny Owl also flew on my approach, and there were at least 2 Kingfishers chasing around the pond.
