Birds and Butterflies at Ashclyst

Stunning weather and wildlife at Ashclyst Forest today, with a pair of Spotted Flycatchers and Marsh Tit on arrival, followed by an abundance of Silver-washed Fritillaries by the stream at the bottom of the hill on the Violet Route. The butterflies were everywhere today, including Ringlet, with beautiful iridescence on its wings, Comma, Meadow Brown, Skipper and White Admiral. 10.30am seems to be a good time to arrive.
