Out on the scrape this morning was a Common Sandpiper. There were two at Sherpa the previous evening. A smattering of mostly Sand Martins around the marsh. Nothing like the hordes of Swallows present yesterday evening, when I opened a few nets and played a tape. Between last night and this morning I ringed 107 plus 2 Sand Martins. Those ringed this morning were carefully roosted in bags overnight.
