Trendlebere Down- Yarner Woods.

18 members of DB met for the East Devon Branch fieldtrip led by Ian Pullan.  A pair of Yellow Hammer, Willow Warblers, Linnet, Stonechat and Garden Warbler were also present there. Yarner Woods was less productive although Pied Flycatchers were present in small numbers, plus Mistle Thrush and Siskin.  Noticeable for their absence were Wood Warblers and Redstarts. I note that last years fieldtrip to the same venue was a week later (29 April) when all species were present plus several others.

For those intending to visit Yarner please note that there is considerable disruption caused by engineering work near the office and main car park (which is closed). It is only possible to park on Trendlebere Down car park which has been resurfaced.
