Yarner Wood & Trendlebere Down

After abandoning the South Devon birds walk around Berry Head due to the heavy rain I decided to take my chances at Yarner Wood in the early afternoon, where it was a warm and sunny day, and I wasn't to be disappointed.

Observed a pair of fighting female Pied Flycatchers whilst all the while a male a male followed and kept a close eye on proceedings, closer to the car park I watched a male Redstart for about 5 minutes, in the same area there was both a Marsh Tit & a Coal Tit plus a male Blackcap. Also seen: 3 Willow Warblers, Linnet, Buzzard, Mistle Thrush, Mandarin Duck, Stonechat. Also heard a drumming Woodpecker, Tawny Owl and several Chiffchaffs.
