Rillage Pt to Watermouth

A misty, murky, drizzly sort of dawn, gradually drying up and with light winds, produced a good selection of migrants this morning, including my first patch Ring Ouzel (1 m), Grasshopper Warblers (2 reeling) and Tree Pipits (4 single birds calling in flight) of the year. Also 20 Swallows, 14 House Martins, 2 Sand Martins, 7 Chiffchaffs, 3 Willlow Warblers, 6 Blackcaps, 15 alba wagtails, 118 Meadow Pipits, 60 Goldfinches, 6 Siskins and 71 Linnets. Groups of Oystercatchers, Lesser Black-backs and Kittiwakes moving NE offshore were also presumed migrants.
