Velator area.
Late news. 9th April.
The Osprey arrived on cue just after our arrival. It carried a fairly large fish onto a fence post and proceeded to devour this catch over the next twenty minutes, affording excellent telescope views. Turning 180 degrees and scanning the derelict barn roofs, a Little Owl was picked out against the tiles into which it blended well, so could have easily been missed. A Skylark sang all the while and later at least three Chiffchaffs were in song together with two Cetti's Warblers. Later, 17 Black tailed Godwits arrived in the pond alongside a Green Sandpiper.
