Rillage Pt to Watermouth

Yesterday (5th) was very quiet at Rillage, but there was a superb breeding-plumaged Red-throated Diver feeding and preening a little way offshore. By contrast, plenty of migrants on the move this morning (6th): 4 Sandwich Terns, 1 Common Tern, 25 Swallows, 10 Sand Martins, 4 House Martins, 3 Goldcrests, 8 Chiffchaffs, 3 Blackcaps, a female-type Black Redstart, 2m Stonechats, 31 Meadow Pipits, 9 alba wagtails, 4 Siskins, 56 Goldfinches and 50 Linnets.

Later on, 2 Red Kites drifting E over the Sterridge Valley at about 12.15.
