Found a fluffed up Chiffchaff chasing insects in some brambles earlyish this morning. 6 Teal, 4 Gadwall and 2 Mallard were joined by a Coot, a Moorhen and a Little Grebe on the pond and the 2 Canada Geese later arrived too. A distant view of a Marsh Harrier south over Sherpa Marsh.

A mixed flock of Redwings, Starlings and Fieldfares graced the trees mid-morning and several each of Green, Gold and Chaffinch.

Another Chiffchaff, this time looking much more active near the gate as I left.

Some excitement at the bridge over the river too. Masses of scaffolding being erected to effect repairs to the bridge.
