Viewed from the Tarka Trail, about 153 Black-tailed Godwits on the scrape this morning with a Redshank. Over near the reserve, a Green Sandpiper and a Water Pipit.
In the reserve, a female Sparrowhawk flying through the trees with an unidentified squealing prey item! Probably a Blackbird. It flew out of the reserve towards the scrape, putting up all the Godwits, and the Canada Geese!
A collection of feathers on one of the paths looked like a Blackbird, but on closer inspection were more likely from a Water Rail. Little else of note.
