Dartmoor - Brambling

Very cold on the Moor this morning, but brambling showing in most of the chaffinch flocks when located feeding on beech mast! In total I must have seen at least 30 amongst several hundred chaffinch. One particular site at SX677772 gave good views of several. Difficult to photograph as they were very mobile and well camouflaged as they searched amongst the leaves. A good variety of thrush species with song, mistle, redwing and fieldfare evident. Pizwell Bridge produced all 4!
