A most productive morning at Occombe produced the 1st Hawfinch I've seen here. It was a real sign of late Autumn with 15 Blackbirds (only 1 female), 9 Bullfinches (5 male, 4 female), 6 Redwing, Green Woodpecker, Buzzard, 3 Jay, Pheasant (m), 4 Great Tits, pair of Blue Tits & Goldfinch, 5 Wrens, 6/7 Stock Dove, Raven, 4 Robins, Chaffinch, Dunnock and most unusual, I counted at least 25 (but probably more) Magpie in a flock flying westerly.
