Slapton - 16.11.17

Reported Black-necked Grebe still showing well at Slapton - Ireland Bay. Many thousands of Starling displayed well this evening 1625 - 1640hrs. Sadly for those of us gathered at the bridge, the display took place at the Strete Gate end, where they came to roost. Binoculars required! At one stage in the display, the flock was attacked by what I believe to be a sparrow hawk. Earlier I saw 5 Common Scoter off Hallsands.
