Observed minimum 14 buzzards (possibly up to 16) 'hanging in the breeze' in a line above Wrangaton Golf Course / on the southern edge of Ugborough Beacon hill SX667 586. Occasional stooping, but couldn't see what they were hunting / catching. Noticed lots of large hairy caterpillars on the move across the moor. Is it unusual to see so many buzzards hunting together, and can anyone suggest what they were hunting? Do they eat caterpillars?
