South Milton Reserve - ditch widening

Natural England has approved and will part fund creation of a stretch of open water in the upper reaches of the reserve.  This will be achieved by widening the ditch on the south side of the reserve, upstream of the public footpath by the treatment plant.  The open water will be about 100m long, 4m wide and up to 1.5m deep (too deep for reeds to grow).  The work is weather dependent but should be completed within two weeks.
