There were still over 100 Black-tailed Godwits on the scrape this morning and during the day - two Knot there at one point. Ringing in the reserve is showing signs of the move towards winter with good numbers of Tits ringed: 6 Blue, 4 Great and 4 Long-tailed. 3 Chiffchaffs, 3 Blackcaps (one a male weighed in at 24.5 Grams - so ready to go!) a Cetti's Warbler, only one Finch - a Bullfinch. Also 2 Great-spotted Woodpeckers, but sadly, no sign of either of the 2 .Jays seen yesterday.
