Prawle and Beesands

Seawatching at Prawle ,0845-1045 produced westward passage of 630 auks nearly all Razorbill, 206 Gannets, 56 Kittiwakes and 4 Red-throated Divers. Late morning , Water Pipit feeding with Rock Pipits and 3 Chiffchaffs at west end of Horseley Cove, also 4 Turnstone, 2 Curlew and 21 Oystercatcher on the rocks. Fog and drizzle stopped observation by lunchtime.

I called in at Beesands afterwards and was surprised to see virtually no wildfowl on the lake-they must all be at Slapton.
