Broadsands

As I was in the Torbay area today, I managed to spend an hour late morning at Broadsands. After chalking up the customary Cirl Bunting, I had a look at the bay, but was surprised by the total lack of grebes or divers. However two Fulmars had returned to the cliffs, and two Razorbills showed close to the beach. Returning to the car park area, I heard a squealing Water Rail and saw a noisy Jay, before finding the 'tristis'-type Chiffchaff in trees and bushes around the ditch between the two upper car park areas. This was accompanied by a 'normal' Chiffchaff and a single Goldcrest.
