10.15 – 2.45 Lots of good birds in today over the high tide. Highlights to begin with, 3+ Med Gulls, 1 Gadwall, Stock Dove and some Ringed Plover including 1 juv, 1 Turnstone.

At 2.05, when the hide quietened. a Common Sandpiper and the two Wood Sandpiper came in to the nearest island to the hide (the one people think no birds will frequent) and gave excellent views. Just goes to show that if the hide is reasonably quiet then the birds will come in close.

Also late on Oystercatcher, Whimbrel, 1 Knot and a few Grey Plover. House and Sand martins and Swallows and 1 Kingfisher over.
