Bystock Reserve

Late morning a male Firecrest showed well in Wrights Lane, just outside the entrance to Wrights Cottage. Also in this spot were Treecreeper, Goldcrest, a pair of Bullfinches and a pair of Ravens. Good sightings of Green & Great Spotted Woodpeckers and Nuthatches around the reserve, plus 2 Mistle Thrushes, the male in full song. The main pond had 6 Canada Geese.

On adjacent Withycombe Raleigh Common were 4 Siskins (in trees bordering the football pitches) and another Green Woodpecker.
