Yarner Woods

Watched all day, though most action in the morning.

My Highlight was 2 showy Tree Pipits on the moor. Also here were 5+ displaying Lesser Redpoll, 2m Yellowhammer, 1 Whitethroat, 4+ Willow Warbler and 2 HO Cuckoo. In the woods 1m Wood Warbler was singing all morning and also noted were 8+ Redstart, 13+ Pied Flycatchers, 3 Mistle Thrush, 4 Goldcrest and 2 Blackcap. The car park ponds and feeders held 4 drk Mandarins, 1 Marsh Tit, 3 Nuthatch, a pr of Grey Wagtail. 1 Tawny Owl was calling at c4pm and 3 Swift flew over.
