A quick look at Wrafton Pond on the way down the trail & a pair of adult Little Grebes with 3 juv's already.

Further down the trail a very mobile Brimstone Butterfly & once it had really warmed up it did not settle.

Having cycled down the trail from Braunton to Barnstaple at least 10 times during the last fortnight I was at last rewarded with 2 new arrivals for the trail which fell in & announced their presence with much excitement in the usual fashion - Lesser Whitethroat.

On the fringes of the Taw Estuary at Ashford with the tide out were 21 Whimbrel.
