40+ Common Scoters initially in two separate flocks off the beach.  Both groups were mobile and were constantly being moved on by passing pleasure craft and became distant.  2 Guillemots flying south, Oystercatcher, Sandwich Tern, 2 Fulmars, 3 Gannets, Shag, Cormorant. 5 GBBGs.   

6 Mallards, one pair with 9 ducklings.  Constant stream of Swallows overhead plus 2 House Martins.  4 Stonechats, 2 Yellowhammers, 2 Skylarks, 10+ Linnets, male and female Pheasant, 4 Goldfinches, 2 Bullfinches next to the hide, 3 Chiffchaffs, 2 Blackcaps, 2 Kestrels, 6 Buzzards, Numerous Carrion Crows, Rooks, Jackdaws, Magpies, Wrens, Dunnocks and Robins. 1 Raven which was continually mobbed by other corvids.  2 vocal but skulking Reed Warblers.  Male and female Tufted Ducks, 4 Canada Geese, 2 Shelducks and a Grey Heron. 

Calling Song Thrush close to the hide and a Willow Warbler calling from bushes high up on the southern hillside.
