Bowling Green Marsh

Despite the tide being low, we had a very good session at the RSPB Bowling Green Marsh hide this afternoon. The highlight was an Osprey which flew quite low over the reserve before it headed up the river Clyst. We also had sightings of a Peregrine (twice - it was first spotted by one of our younger visitors), a Sparrowhawk and finally a female Marsh Harrier. A pair of Buzzards also put in several appearances. Aside from the raptors, a couple of Common Sandpipers showed very well. There were still quite a few Teal and Shoveler with some Pintail, Mallard and Tufted Duck and a couple of Wigeon.
