Exeter-Slapton and back

Attempted to find cattle egrets and waxwings on the way to Slapton today; cattle egrets are still on the Totnes-Asprington road as reported earlier, with cows and little egrets. We unfortunately didn't find the waxwings this afternoon by the A38 tile factory.

The whale was visible from Slapton beach though off towards Blackpool Sands this morning, but we got good views of gannets and a black necked grebe close in. There was a med gull on the Ley with other gulls.
