Dawlish Warren between 1000 and 1230, 1 February.

Several hundred Grey Plover, several hundred Dunlin and approx 25 Knot, many of which crossed the bight to the island in front of the hide to begin feeding as the tide turned. Most of the large number of Oystercatcher on the point across from the hide were still there when I left. Also 2 Rock Pipits, 5 Turnstone, numbers of Redshank, 5 Skylark in the bight and on the golf course. 1 male Red Breasted Merganser off shore. Numerous Brent Geese on foreshore and golf course. Several singing Dunnock on the dune walk. All of the small waders dispersed at 1158 when a Peregrine came through on the hunt.
