The identification of a Black-troated Diver at Broadsands was troublesome today, as it didn't appear to show a white thigh patch on either side of the body, it also looked small billed. However after watching it for some time I did pick up a much reduced thigh patch 'just' as it dived. I'm off for another look.. There was no chin strap but young Pacific Divers don't always show this feature.

Some notes and hopefully photos later..

Also there 3 Black-necked Grebes, 1 sw Mediterranean Gull, 2 Eider, 3 Great Northern Divers and 1 Common Scoter.
