Exminster Marshes

A short walk in glorious sunshine this afternoon. In Station Road there were 3+ goldcrests and one chiffchaff. On the canal bank 2 bullfinch and at least 3 Cettis warblers with a further two heard elsewhere on the marsh. The marsh harrier put in a brief appearance disturbing the waterfowl that included 14 barnacle geese and more teal than of late. I also saw one water rail. Waders included lapwing, golden plover, curlew, snipe and a few black-tailed godwits - low numbers as the tide was low.
