Slapton

Good to bump into Perry at Slapton today. In addition to his sightings, a Red necked Grebe showed briefly off the Memorial car park around 11 a.m.

A Black Redstart (f) at Hallsands and 42 Common Scoter offshore.

Mid afternoon the Red throated Diver had drifted north to be off Strete gate and at the far end of Strete gate beach were 2 Velvet Scoter.

In addition to those settled on the sea, Guillemots (with a few Razorbills) were moving through the bay all day and must have numbered a few hundred.
