South Brent this morning 23 Redwing flying over the village and a little later some 50 plus Wood pigeons headed west possibly the first signs that I have seen of this year’s autumn pigeon migration getting under way.

From the tidal road at Aveton Gifford, Little Egret 8, Redshank 2, Greenshank 3, Common Sandpiper 2, other species included Oyster Catcher, Curlew and Grey Wagtail.

Soar ~ Yellow Hammer, Cirl Bunting, Blackcap, Wren, Yellow Browed Warbler, Chiffchaff, Dunnock, Song Thrush 2, Redwing 2, Swallow, Buzzard 4 and Pied Wagtail 4.

 

Around the old Bolt Head airfield flocks of Meadow Pipit, Linnet and Skylark 23, Stonechat, Wheatear 3, Kestrel 2, Goldfinch and Raven.
